The Triple Cushion Corporation, the predecessor to Restonic, was established in 1938. The three founding members created mattresses with additional support in the middle third of the mattress using a proprietary design. This was the predecessor to the Marvelous Middle® architecture used today. The strict criteria necessary for certification by Underwriters Laboratories for flammability compliance have only been met by the first mattress manufacturer, Restonic. Thanks to its extensive network of production facilities, Mattress can now be found at high-end retail establishments around the country.
